About Catherine

Catherine Minford is a visual artist based in Belfast. Her sculptures ‘The 51.9% (Brexit Voters)’ and ‘Antisocial Media’ are held in the NI Civil Service Art Collection and Arts Council of NI Collection.

Primarily working with oil paint, pitt pastel, ceramic and polymer clay, her portfolio is diverse and her inspiration broad, with politics, climate change, ending violence against women & girls and protest at the heart of many of her works.

Her style is varied and evolving and her inspiration is all around, from the ancient history of Ireland to the alarming rise in populism in the modern world today.
